university research initiatives that pro-

vide resource opportunities for funding

and equipment. The multidisciplinary

research program of the university

research initiative (MURI) are DoD

sponsored programs that support basic

research involving multiple engineering

or science disciplines.

Awards typically cover three

years for up to $1.5M per year, depend-

ing on available funds. The proposal

submission includes review of short

program descriptions and full project
